TWO EXTANT BRIDGES OF JOHN & JAMES RUTHERFORD, ARCHITECTS AND BUILDERS IN AYR

Crowned head on the capstone of the upstream face of Monkwood Bridge.  From the sheared appearance of the capstone on the downstream face, there may have been a head on that too.
