From the Third Ordnance Survey Ayrshire 25" Sheet 51.1. 'A' marks the surviving ruined mill, and 'B' the house called 'Sawmill Cottage'.
The mill appears on the First Ordnance Survey (1856), but the 25" sheet is not in the collection of the Carnegie Library, Ayr.
