Description

The minor road from Maybole to Girvan following the western side of the Girvan valley. Beyond Dailly it is adopted by B741.

In the Road Acts

1774: The road Maybole to Girvan by Drumelland, Dalquharran and Killochan.
1805: The road from Maybole to Girvan, upon the new line by Drumellan, Dalquharran and Killochan, with a branch [a] passing the River Girvan from near the head of Killochan Glen, to the road on the south side of the Water at Old Dailly, and another branch [b] passing between these roads by the bridge of New Dailly, passing through the parishes of Maybole, Kirkoswald, Dailly and Girvan.
