Craigend House, Troon

From Julie Boyd, 26 July 2006: I am researching the history of Craigend House, Troon. My husband lived there as a child but it has since been demolished and is now the car park for Royal Troon Golf Club. Does anyone know anything about this house or its owners. We are particularly interested in finding a postcard or photograph of this home.

From Frank McKee, 21 March 2006: Having been a collector of Troon postcards for over twenty five years I think I can say that there are no postcards dedicated to Craigend House alone. The attached scan shows two postcards c1933 which show the same side of the house.
Two more photos and a brief history can be found in " The Castles and Mansions of Ayrshire " which can be viewed in most Ayrshire libraries in the reference section.
