This Kyle Street name plate was photographed in 2005. There was another cast iron name plate of a later period in the street at that time. Both have since been removed. Kyle Street, Mill Street and Smith Street, which bound the Ayr Central shopping mall, have new printed name plates with 'Ayr Central' added below the street name (observation made in 2016 though the replacement occurred some time before).
